Portraits|Luminograms explores photography as a site of memory and transformation, examining how historical images mediate survival, loss, and representation. Through archival interventions and experimental techniques—including vintage glass negatives, luminograms, and recontextualised photographs—the project interrogates the fluid nature of remembrance, challenging conventional notions of documentation. Drawing from Ciro Giordano Bruni’s fictionalism and Christian Boltanski’s approach to visual memory, the series reframes historical perception, questioning the evolving relationship between imagery, history, and collective consciousness.
